Our Trip

Hello! Well we had a great weekend with my family up in Pine! We stayed in a cabin that we rented for the week. It was nice to just chill for a bit and hang out with my family. We all have so much fun together and it was nice to just hang out and talk to them all. The only one that wasn't there was Chelsea (who is on a mission in Rochester). My grandparents were there too and it was nice to watch them be in on the action! Here are some pics! Cute pregnant Jill (Abe's wife) took care of Evan and finally got him to take a nap!! My mom bought the kids some bows and arrows at some little craft fair in town and they played with those things for most of the time! Macy even figured out how to put them down her shirt like Robin Hood. Grandma and grandpa had fun sitting on the back porch watching them. I think we wore them out!!

There were two huge storms there that cooled us off in the evenings! rain, hail, thunder and lightning! Emily and Collin were running around the cabin telling everyone to come outside. I think they thought it was the end of the world or something. They are Arizona kids through and through! They all loved playing in it and wanted to try to bring some hail home but it melted before we got home---shocking. Josh brought his girl cathy and we got ot know her a little bit better. She is very sweet and was great with the kids. We had Abby's 17th B-day! Happy birthday sister. I can't beleive that she is 17. Well actually I can I think that she was born 17! :)
We went to Fossil Creek and played in the water. We carried my Grandparents in (well my brothers did) and they sat there in their wheel chairs watching the action. They LOVED it and it was nice to see them so happy.
Um, these two pictures illustrate the oddness that is my Dad. I will blow these pictures up and put them on huge easels at his funeral some day. He was going crazy at the creek, jumping off of stuff and sliding down the rocks and stuff. It as funny and then Tait and I were standing downstream from everyone for a minute and here comes Dad floating down the river on his back...he looked like a dead man. Not just because he is as white as one but he had is eyes closed and he floats very well. It was funny and I am glad I caught it on film! The Aunts and Uncles were also having fun throwing my kids around (they are the only grandchildren to torture right now). Emily was the bravest but that really isn't a shock, she is kind of crazy...I think she gets it from my Dad.
We took Evan's diaper off and he was loving splashing around in the water. That picture os Emily looks like she is crying and hating it but that is just her cheesy smile. Poor Jill was wrestling Collin to stay in the picture. That looks comfortable for a 7 month pregnant woman! What a trooper Jill!

These last pictures are just ones that I liked! Macy was so cute. She was very timid at first but she doesn't like to be out braved by her siblings so she gave it a shot. It is so fun to watch my kids and see how each one has their own VERY distinct personality. The other pic is of Abe and Collin, Collin was surprising nervous. There were fish in the water and I think that freaked him out a bit, he wanted to be carried a lot of the time. The last picture is not at the cabin but I just liked it. I was making pancakes on Tait's birthday and we had music on and we were all dancing in the kitchen. Actually Tait and I were dancing in the kitchen while Macy took pictures and the Doubles D's (Emmers and Collin) were dancing on the table! I wish I had pictures of that cause it was pretty funny. I love this family. It was so good to spend time together with them all this weekend. Thanks to all my bros and sis who came. I love spending time with you all!

Gosh, you made me cry! I miss my family so much. Yours seems so great. I'm glad you guys had fun, and every time I see a picture of you, I can't believe that you've had 4 kids. What's your secret? I remember when I was pregnant with Tay, and my nephew was a little baby. He loved me, and I could put him to sleep too. I think it's that cousin bonding, even in the womb. They remember each other from the pre-existence, and are comforted by one another. What a great story.

What a fun time to have with your family! We really should have gone up to the mountains instead of the valley! Man it's hot here! I totally forgot...
