Where's my zoo crew?!

So on friday I got to be a chaperone (to keep those kindergartners a b of m apart) for a field trip with Miss Macy's class! We went to the Wildlife World Zoo...not the Phoenix Zoo but fun nonetheless! My friends Jenni and Erin were there and it was us and 10 kids in our group. We named ourselves the "zoo Crew" and whenever we wanted to round them up we would yell "Zoo Crew!" and then all ten would yell back "ZOOOOOO CREEEEWWWWW!"--it was funny for us and probably so annoying for people around us. Oh well, I got them all back on the bus at the end of the day so who cares! I got to ride the bus for the first time since...I don't even remember when it was, those things are small! I remember the seats being much bigger and the jump (for the escape drills...those were the best in elementary school) down the emergency exit used to seem like such a big jump! Anyway, this is a picture of us on the bus, Macy was so excited to get to sit by me and it made me feel good that she still likes the ol' momma...I hope that never ends- yeah right. This is the zoo crew... it was kind of hard to keep an eye on so many kids all at once, it kind of made me want to get my tubes tied! The other pic is us at a wildlife show...a bird almost hit my head. What a day! I am glad I am not in Kindergarten anymore.

What a cute mom and daughter! I am actually looking forward to the days when I can go on field trips with my kids. But, for now, I like them right at home with me.

I can't get over how big Macy is even though I just saw her in January. Have you seen Dan in Real Life? It made me terrified of Skye's teen years! Not that I wasn't already trembling about that before she was born, but the adorable toddler years had distracted me from her inevitable future. However, a kind mother at the park today told me that her two teenage daughters are quite great so far (they are 13 and 14), so maybe Macy will still think you are cool at that age.

Macy, so fun to hang out with you and Jennie even if it was brief because of fevered child at the zoo...I am going to miss you not being at the same school :(
